DHL Cargo plane slides off runway at Italian airport and crashes onto a busy road_SEE PHOTOS

A DHL cargo jet plane skidded off a runway at the Bergamo airport in Italy and crashed on to a busy road. The jet, which had flown from Paris in France, smashed through barriers before coming to rest
in front of stunned motorists driving past the airport. See more photos after the cut…
Local media reports said the incident happened during bad weather in the area. Emergency crews at the airport rushed to the scene of the crash at around 4am and no one was reported to have been hurt. Authorities said the airport was closed after the incident but was later reopened. The cause of the crash is however still under investigation.
