A
50-year-old bus driver is allowed to continue working with children
despite having been accused of stalking a 14-year-old girl.
The
man referred to as MXZ stalked his alleged victim in February and
April, by walking past her home and following her in his car to make
conversation, police told the Victorian Civil and Administrative
Tribunal.
MXZ admitted in court he spoke to the schoolgirl in April but denies he was in contact with her in February, reported Herald Sun.
'I
left [home] to do a lawn- mowing job … I saw a girl and stopped and
said she was beautiful, she smiled and said 'thank you'. [I thought she
was much older but the police later told me she was 14].
'I saw the girl walking again and I just waved and went home,' he said
MXZ has been charged with two stalking offences and will face court in November.
But
MXZ has had his driver accrediation reinstated after it was suspended
because MXZ has a 20-year-good record and the criminal charges are yet
to be finalised.
